Cornish Produce

Our philosophy is to use the freshest, most local suppliers possible for our ingredients to ensure the best tasting quality food with the smallest number of food miles possible, reducing  our carbon footprint.

Our meat is sourced from Pooley's Meat Pantry, Camborne and Brian Etherington Meat Suppliers, who obtain their meats from such farms as:

  • J V Richards farm, Truro
  • Kittow Meats Farm, Fowey
  • The Cornish Farmhouse Bacon Company, Bude

Our fish is supplied by Matthew Stevens & Son who gather their fish from the harbours of Newlyn, Mevagissey, Looe and St. Ives, all in the South West of Cornwall.

Hendy's from Helston are our supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables who make sure that all their produce is sourced locally where possible, which is in line with their own 'Evergreen' policy.

Our eggs, butter and cheese are locally sourced from Dairy Crest of Pool, along with our Cornish clotted cream, which  is supplied from Rodda's, Redruth and our milk is supplied by R Hinds & Sons Dairy of Hayle, who guarantee all their milk is from Cornish farms.

Our cooking oil is refined and reused through the Cornish companies of RCS and Greenaway Energy and is then used to create bio-fuel. All our cardboard and paper is recycled through the company Sita and our glass is recycled through the company Cornwall Cullet, also known as 'John the Glass'

Sustainability is important to us and we try  to treat our beautiful county and the people within it with the respect is deserves.
